create a stop motion animation film and independently discussing movement in

Strategies and Activities: 1. View/discuss a successful Claymation film;
particularly how it is filmed. 2. Demonstrate
how to use the Stop Motion app on the iPad to create your film with the stop
motion technique. 3. Pass out materials, and have groups assign
one student in each group to film while the rest of them are in charge of
arranging the characters and the backdrop. 4. Assist students while they work. Continue
assessing students on their discussion of movement individually. 5. Clean
up with 7 minutes left. |
Materials and Supplies: 1. SMARTboard 2. Claymation film from Vimeo or YouTube 3. Students’ story maps and clay characters 4. Students’ backdrops 5. Ipads (1 for each group) 6. rubrics |
Accommodations and modifications for
different levels of learners: Students
with fine motor skill difficulties will be able to use larger or smaller
tools for drawing. When available,
these students will also be provided with pencil adaptors. Visual,
verbal, and hands on teaching techniques will be utilized to accommodate all
types of learners. |
Technology Integration The
smartboard will be used to view/discuss a successful Claymation film and the iPads will be used to film. |
Assessment: This
project will be assessed in 3 categories:
I can discuss movement in my film, I can collaborate with others, and I
can compose a stop motion animation film.
